Do All Maytag Appliances Come From American Factories?

While other items are made elsewhere or in Mexico, Maytag has two factories here in the United States. Whirlpool purchased the Maytag Corporation in 2006. Maytag had 12 production facilities operating in the US and 2 in Mexico prior to this acquisition.

Cleveland, Tennessee, and Amana, Iowa, the only two remaining Maytag factories in the United States, are as of 2015. While the Iowa plant assembles top-compartment and French-door refrigerator models, the Tennessee plant produces Maytag kitchen and laundry appliances.

Maytag assembles its Maxima and Bravos series of washers and dryers at the Whirlpool plants in Clyde, Ohio, and Marion, Ohio. At Whirlpool’s Findlay facility in Ohio, Maytag dishwashers are also produced.
