How Are Mile Markers Visible in Google Maps?

In Google Maps, there are no mile markers and no mechanism to turn them on or off in the view. You can see the mile marker in Street View if you zoom in on the map and drag the peg guy down.

Look at the exit number close to where you want to go if you need to view the mile marker. Exit numbers and the miles where they are located are frequently related. Locate the exit that is the closest to the mile you’re looking for, then zoom in and select Street View.

Then, using your mouse, drag down the pegman to give you a direct look at the area. At this point, you must change where you are looking by clicking the Street View arrows.

Depending on the direction you select, clicking on the arrows advances or recedes your perspective. Zoom in on the mile markers as you pass them by clicking the arrows. Most roads have mile markers that increase as you travel north and decrease as you travel south. Depending on the mile number you’re looking for, continue north or south after finding your first mile sign.
