The Golden Apple card was dropped by Applebee’s in 2012. The restaurant gave older folks only its Golden Apple card, which was a senior discount scheme. Despite discontinuing the Golden Apple card, certain Applebee’s locations still give discounts to older citizens who present their AARP cards.
Senior folks are still eligible for discounts at a number of other restaurant businesses. With the exception of alcoholic beverages, Outback Steakhouse offers AARP members a 15 percent discount off of their whole bill. Guests at Carabba’s Italian Grill receive a 20% bill reduction. IHOP and Chili’s both provide discounts of 10%.
While not all eateries provide specific discounts, it is not uncommon for a menu tailored to seniors to be made accessible. These menus frequently provide more affordable miniature versions of dishes from the standard menu. In addition to sit-down restaurants, numerous fast food establishments provide seniors with menu alternatives at discounted prices or dining discounts.
Although folks who are 50 and older can join AARP, certain restaurants only provide discounts to patrons who are 55 and over. Payment is required to join AARP. Members not only get savings at restaurants but also on travel and other products and services provided by numerous companies.
