A Nextbook Android smartphone can be returned to factory settings with a series of button presses. Holding the up volume button while depressing the power switch will turn on the device after it has been charged and then removed from the charger.
Hold the two buttons down until you see the Nextbook logo. To display a menu, let go of both buttons and push the up volume button. To reset the device, go to Wipe Data Factory Reset and select Yes.
When trying to solve a problem or start over on a used gadget, resetting it to factory settings is a last resort. Anytime the settings menu on the device is inaccessible due to a software issue or a lost or forgotten password, a hard reset in this manner is required.
Any user data and records on the device, along with any downloaded apps and purchases, are deleted after a factory reset, whether it is hard or soft. After the reset, app and purchase data is still available in the Play Store for recovery.
Numerous Android devices, including Chromebooks and smartphones, include comparable hard-reset methods. Depending on the device and version of Android, some details may change, but the goal and outcome remain the same.
