How Many Shots Are There in a Litre of Alcohol?

Around the world, a single shot of alcohol is generally defined as having a volume between 30 and 60 millilitres. As a result, the number of shots that can be poured from a 1-liter bottle depends on the person’s location in the world.

There are 22 full shots in a 1-liter container because a shot in the US is considered to be 1.5 ounces, or 44 millilitres. Shots are often served in Baltic countries at a 50 millilitre capacity, allowing for 20 shots per 1-liter bottle.

In order to prevent them from overflowing when served, shot glasses typically come in a wide range of sizes that are significantly larger than the customary size of a shot of liquor.
