An extra-large pizza comprises eight pieces, according to Domino’s Pizza nutritional statistics. Small pizzas are sliced into six slices, whereas medium and large pizzas have eight slices.

Domino’s Pizza has been serving pizza since 1960, when it began with a single location in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The first Domino’s franchise opened in the city seven years later. The first non-Michigan store opened in Burlington, Vermont, in 1968. In 1983, the 1,000th restaurant opened, as well as the first in Australia. In the mid-1980s, the firm exploded, with 954 new pizzerias debuting in 1985 alone. There are approximately 11,000 Domino’s Pizza locations worldwide, with half of them located outside of the United States.
