How Much Is a Cup and a Half?

A third of a cup is 5 1/3 ounces because a cup holds 8 ounces. An alternative technique of measurement can be simpler to use because the majority of measuring devices are not accurate to 1/3 of an ounce.

Using common household measurement cups, 2/3 of a cup also equates to 10 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons. Use just four measures with a 1.5 ounce jigger.

You can measure in millilitres if the liquid measuring cup has metric measurements written on it. Since a cup contains roughly 236 millilitres, two thirds of a cup contains roughly 157 millilitres.
