How Much Square Footage Does a Basketball Court Have?

An official basketball court for the National Basketball Association or National Collegiate Athletic Association is 94 feet by 50 feet and covers 4,700 square feet. The largest officially recognised courts are used by the NBA and the NCAA.

Smaller courts than those used by the NBA and NCAA are used by the International Basketball Federation as well as all high schools and elementary schools in the United States.

International Basketball Federation courts are roughly 4,520 square feet in size, measuring 91.86 feet by 49.21 feet. Basketball courts in high schools are 84 feet by 50 feet and cover 4,200 square feet, whereas those in primary schools are only 3,108 square feet and measure 74 feet by 42 feet.
