Is ESPN3 part of Verizon FiOS’s channel lineup?ESPN3 is a video streaming platform run by ESPN. It is not available on any cable provider’s network channel. WatchESPN is the new name for ESPN3. However, to view the site, you must have a current cable subscription.

ESPN3 began as ESPN360.com, which included largely studio material. The content evolved over time to incorporate more live athletic events and more basic stuff than the main ESPN presentation.

On ESPN3, sporting events usually only have rudimentary commentary and very little in-studio content. ESPN3 also offers on-demand replays of recent sporting events to which the ESPN family of channels holds broadcasting rights.
