Is it Okay to Take Benadryl and Tylenol Together?

Tylenol and Benadryl can be used together since, according to WebMD, they don’t interact with each other. However, you should always contact your personal physician or pharmacist so they can add this information to the drug list.

Acetaminophen is a sort of over-the-counter painkiller and fever reducer that goes by the brand name Tylenol. Diphenhydramine is an over-the-counter allergy medication that goes by the brand name Benadryl. The two drugs work independently without causing any known drug interactions.

Although they don’t interact, if a patient takes more prescriptions, those additional medications may cause a drug interaction where there may not have been one before. It is crucial that a patient’s doctor always has an accurate list of the medications they are taking for this reason.
