Pink is made up of two colours. – Pink is created by combining the colours red and white. Pink is a tint, which means it is created by mixing white with a deeper hue, in this example red.
Pink comes in a wide range of shades, from light to dark. A pink’s name is sometimes associated with a recognised item, such as a berry, watermelon, or salmon. Different hues of pink can be created by adding a third colour to the mix of red and white. The tone is darkened with a dash of black. A small quantity of another hue, such as blue, yellow, or green, is added to the pink tint to give it an undertone of that colour.
