North Side Story (March 2, 2022, Streaming Release)

West Side Story, produced and directed by Steven Spielberg, offers a wholly new interpretation of the well-known musical and outperformed the 1961 film version. It emphasises Romeo and Juliet’s contemporary interpretation.

The main characters of the film are the pair Tony (Ansel Elgort) and Maria (Rachel Ziegler), who are embroiled in a protracted conflict between the rival gangs Jets and Sharks over control of the city’s streets.

Fresh (Standing as of March 4, 2022)

Mimi Cave makes her directing debut with the film Fresh. Sebastian Stan and Daisy Edgar Jones play the key characters in the comedy-thriller. The movie’s plot centres on a female who dates a young, beautiful lad but subsequently learns about her true, heinous character.

The girl’s lover is a butcher who sells human flesh, and as such, harmed women in the movie, giving off the brief vibes of the murderer Ted Bundy. The film had its Sundance Film Festival premiere in January 2022, and it was made available to the public in March 2022. The film was largely well-received by the audience, scoring a 7/10.

Getting Red (Released on March 11, 2022)

Turning Red, a comedy fantasy film produced by Lindsey Collins and directed by Domee Shi, is set in Toronto, Ontario. Meilin Lee discovers that puberty dramatically transforms her life when her body goes through changes and she grows hair in odd places.

The animation powerhouse explores the strangeness surrounding puberty. The movie was given special screenings in Toronto and London. The film had its global premiere on March 1 in Los Angeles, and on March 11 it became available for streaming. It is listed as one of the top Disney Plus movies and has worldwide box office revenue of approximately $15.5 million.

Driving Home 2 U, Olivia Rodrigo (Released on March 25, 2022)

The illuminating documentary Olivia Rodrigo: Driving Home 2 U by the Grammy-nominated singer and composer Olivia Rodrigo depicts her creative process as she travelled from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles to write her debut album, “Sorry.” Interviews, live performances of her songs, and production-process videos were all included. On March 25, 2022, Stacey Lee’s film was made available for online streaming and is now accessible through a paid streaming channel membership.

It debuted in March and will air for up to six episodes through May 4. Along with the red carpet debut at the El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles, a special screening of the film took place at Cine Capitol in Madrid and the British Museum in London. How I Got To Know Your Dad (Released on March 9, 2022)

The American comedy How I Met Your Father made its Hulu debut in January 2022. It is a part of the How I Met Your Mother franchise. The plot centres on Sophie, a woman played by Hilary Duff, and demonstrates how she met her son’s father in 2021 while she and her friends were taking the dating scene by storm. The sitcom initially received bad reviews for the nostalgia it displayed, with a rating of 5/10.
