Was Ernest Hemingway a Grandfather?

There are 12 grandchildren of Ernest Hemingway. They are Vanessa Hemingway, Mina Hemingway, Joan Hemingway, Margaux Hemingway, Mariel Hemingway, Lorian Hemingway, John Patrick Hemingway, Maria Hemingway, Brendan Hemingway, Patrick Hemingway, Sean Hemingway, Edward Hemingway, and Mariel Hemingway.

Jack, the eldest son of Ernest Hemingway, had three children (Joan, Margaux, and Mariel), Patrick, the middle son, had one child (Mina Hemingway), and Gregory, the youngest son, had eight (Lorian, John Patrick, Maria, Brendan, Patrick, Sean, Edward and Vanessa). Patrick is the only one of Ernest’s three sons who is still alive, but at 85 he is unlikely to have any more children. The only grandchild who is currently deceased is Margaux.
