Was the Movie Eragon 2 Released?

“Eragon” never had a follow-up film. The first movie’s director, Stefen Fangmeier, admitted in 2007 that he had a strategy for how to make the sequels, but he was unsure of what would transpire.

Chrisopher Paolini, the author of “Eragon,” responded when asked whether a second film adaptation would be in the works, “I suppose we’ll know after opening weekend.”

The second book in the fantasy novel series known as the Inheritance Series is titled “Eldest.”

From the start, critics’ reviews—both positive and negative—expressed concern that the company behind “Eragon” would create a franchise based on the Inheritance Series.
