What Are the Measurements of a 46-Inch Television?

A 46-inch television’s dimensions vary depending on the manufacturer. Samsung’s LED EH5000, for instance, is 41.7 inches wide, 24.6 inches tall, and 3.7 inches deep, whereas Sharp’s LCD HDTV LC-46LE835U is 42.2 inches wide, 26.1 inches long, and 1.6 inches deep.

Samsung’s LED EH5000 has a stand and measures 41.7 inches in width, 26.8 inches in height, and 9 inches in depth. Meanwhile, the Sharp LC-46LE835U measures 42.2 inches broad, 28 inches tall, and 11.54 inches deep.

The diagonal length, or screen size of the TV, which goes from one corner to the opposite corner, determines the 46-inch class designation. The diagonal of the Samsung TV is 45.9 inches, while the Sharp TV’s screen size is exactly 46 inches.
