What Are the ZIP Codes in Nassau in the Bahamas?

There is no postal code for the Commonwealth of the Bahamas or the city of Nassau. Although the Bahamas’ government has taken some initial moves to modernise their postal system, not much has been accomplished.

Over 700 islands make up The Bahamas, where the majority of mail is delivered by boat. The Bahamas Yellow Pages claims that postal service is incredibly slow. A letter’s delivery frequently takes several weeks.

Mail is delivered to ordinary post offices, where Bahamian people who are at least 18 years old and may rent a post office box can do so for an annual charge of $30 to $80. As a result, post office boxes are used for all mail addressed to the Bahamas.

Inputting “00000” will occasionally allow electronic databases to accept addresses in Nassau or the Bahamas when they are unable to do so owing to the absence of a ZIP or postal code.
