Green is created by combining blue and yellow colours. Dark green results from a mixture with more blue than yellow, lime green from a mixture with more yellow than blue, and pastel green from a blue-and-yellow mixture with white added.
Red, yellow, and blue are the three main colours; they cannot be formed by mixing other colours. Two primary colours are combined in the three secondary hues. Secondary hues created by combining yellow and blue, blue and red, and red and yellow, respectively, are green, purple, and orange. By adjusting the colour mix ratio and adding black or white, any number of hues and shades can be generated.
