What Is a Bic Lighter Flame’s Temperature?

A Bic lighter can achieve temperatures of over 1,977 degrees Celsius (3,590.6 degrees Fahrenheit). The temperature of a lighter’s flame is determined by the type of fuel used. Butane lighters are Bic lighters that use butane as a fuel.

A premixed laminar flame is produced by a Bic lighter, which means that the flame’s fuels combine with oxygen before burning and maintain a reasonably constant form. A lighter flame may appear to be a solid mass of light, yet it is hollow. The fuel gas and air at the heart of the flame push gradually outward to form the flame shape.
