A healthy weight for a person who is five feet, two inches tall is between 104 and 131 pounds, according to the Body Mass Index chart given by Rush University Medical Center. Because the percentages of bone, muscle, and fat vary by body type, BMI charts aren’t exact science.
According to the BMI chart, someone who is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs less than 104 pounds is underweight, someone who weighs between 136 and 158 pounds is overweight, and someone who weighs more than 164 pounds is obese. BMI = (weight in pounds x 703) (height in inches x height in inches), according to the American Cancer Society, and a healthy BMI is between 18.5 and 24.9.
