What Is the Average Weight of a Pair of Jeans?

Although the weight of a pair of jeans varies, they can be divided into three groups. Lightweight jeans weigh under 12 ounces, mid-weight jeans weigh between 12 and 16 ounces, and heavyweight jeans weigh more than 16 ounces.

When new, lightweight jeans are the most comfortable to wear because they take less time to break in than heavier jeans. Denim with more weight is more durable and keeps the legs warmer.

Unique fits, such as skinny jeans and boot-cut fashions, are available in a variety of styles. The most common style is traditional blue jeans, however jeans come in a range of colours and textures.
