What Is the Number of Vertices in a Rectangle?

There are four vertices in a two-dimensional rectangle and eight in a three-dimensional rectangle. The number of sides and locations of intersection differ between the two figures.

A vertex is a position in a geometric solid where three or more sides cross, or a point in a plane figure where two sides intersect. As a result, a vertex is a rectangle’s corner. Another definition of a vertex is a point that is the furthest away from the base. A rectangle, on the other hand, can have several bases, whereas a triangle only has one side that serves as the basis.
