What Is the Place Called Where Nuns Live?

Convent is the name given to the residence of nuns. Additionally, they may reside in ordinary homes, mother homes, parishes, and schools.

Just as monasteries are communities of priests, convents are communities of women. While they also have ties to other religions, convents are frequently linked to the Roman Catholic Church.

If their work involves teaching, some nuns reside in mother houses or institutions of learning. For instance, nuns are frequently employed by religious schools. Nuns cohabit in typical homes in today’s society. This is frequently true if there is no convent or other form of nunnery in the church or town.
