What Is the Process for Buying a Trader Joe’s Franchise?

Franchises are not available from Trader Joe’s. Instead of selling franchises and permitting local control, it is a private firm that supplies and maintains all of its individual locations directly.

While Trader Joe’s does not sell individual franchises, it does provide possibilities to become a Trader Joe’s vendor to those who have a product to sell that fulfils the company’s health and safety criteria. Fill out the Vendor Inquiry Form on the Trader Joe’s website if you’re interested in this opportunity.

Trader Joe’s also has job openings, with applications for Mate and Crew roles being accepted. Internal promotion to roles such as Merchant and Captain allows for further advancement. In order to be considered for a position, applications must be completed in person at the shop where the position is requested.

On the Trader Joe’s website, there is also a location request form where users may enter their names, contact information, the city and state where they would want Trader Joe’s to open a store, and any other remarks they may have.

Trader Joe’s encourages customers to contact them with any questions they may have. For general inquiries, the Trader Joe’s website has a contact form as well as a list of all Trader Joe’s locations, including their addresses and phone numbers.
