Superman’s real name was Kal-El on his native planet of Krypton. On Earth, he goes by the name Clark Kent. The name Superman was coined by Daily Planet writer Lois Lane.

Superman is a fictional superhero who appears in the DC Comics universe. Following the destruction of Krypton and the death of his family, he arrived on Earth as a child and received his superpowers from the sun’s light.

Superman lives in Metropolis, where he works as Clark Kent at the Daily Planet to conceal his true identity. He is also the Justice League of America’s leader. Lois Lane is Superman’s love interest in addition to giving him his heroic name.
