What Is the Temperature of a Bic Lighter Flame?

A Bic lighter’s temperature can almost exceed 1,977 degrees Celsius (3,590.6 degrees Fahrenheit). The type of fuel a lighter uses determines the warmth of the flame. Butane lighters, such as those made by Bic, burn butane.

A premixed laminar flame is produced by a Bic lighter, which means that the fuels of the flame combine with oxygen before burning and maintain a largely constant shape. A lighter flame is hollow even though it looks to be a solid mass of light. The fuel gas and air that make up the flame’s centre continuously push outward to form the flame’s shape.
