Where Are Dooney and Bourke Bags Made?

As of 2014, only the United States, China, Italy, and Mexico are the only countries in the world where genuine Dooney and Bourke handbags are produced. The majority of Dooney and Bourke handbags are produced here.

The majority of the materials used to manufacture the bag, including the closures, the leather, and the metallic accents, are American-made. Up until the mid-1990s, Dooney and Bourke’s bags and accessories were created in Italy.

Since then, they have been manufacturing them in the US. China is the source of many of the bags offered on television by retailers like QVC and HSN. The Dooney and Bourke Company, founded in 1975 by Peter Dooney and Frederic Bourke, produces Dooney and Bourke bags.
