As of 2015, Mona Brown was 62 years old. She plays Nadine on “Larry’s Country Diner,” which airs on RFD TV, a cable network that serves rural America. Brown is married to an optometrist named Dave Brown. She used to perform as Nadine at her church, where “Larry’s Country Diner” creator Larry Black also goes. As Nadine, Brown would greet other church members as they came to the annual Valentine’s Banquet and talk to them about their lives.
Mona Brown says that her childhood as the daughter of a minister gave her ideas for Nadine. Brown says that she made the character by putting together the traits of different women she met at her dad’s church and her own aunts.
She acts as Nadine on the TV show and on “Larry’s Country Diner” cruises with her husband, Homer, who is known as Homer in Nadine’s life. Mona and the other people from “Larry’s Country Diner” also go on tours around the country, putting on live shows in Branson, Missouri, and other places in middle America. At NadineNadine.com, you can buy a dessert cookbook written by Nadine, CDs and DVDs by Nadine, and a book of Nadine’s favourite church signs.
Mona Brown has lived through cancer. Before she joined the cast of Diner in 2009, she was told in 2005 that she had breast cancer.
